- Open by rotating the rear needle to the pen needle. Attach the needle to the holder and make sure it is firmly attached.
- Puncture the vein with the needle hole facing up.
- Insert the vacuum tube into the holder and push the tube so that the needle is fixed in the tube.
- Blood will flow into the tube. Wait for the blood to stop flowing.
- Remove the Vacuum Tube from the holder, place a dry cotton swab over the insertion site and remove the pen needle quickly without pressing.
- Homogenize the specimen contained in the vacuum tube.
