Instruction for Use ITM

  1. Open the swab sachet that will be used to collect the specimen.
  2. Use a swab to collect a specimen from the nose or throat according to the type of swab used.
  3. Insert the swab into the tube containing the VTM fluid and then break the swab.
  4. Tighten the tube cap and shake it 5 times. Then add the patient ID.
  5. ITM tubes containing sample specimens can be sent to the laboratory for PCR process at room temperature (0°C – 35°C)
