ITM / VTM Test Schematic Diagram

A. The collection of specimens and the deposition of potential SARS-CoV-2 virus particles can be carried out Active or Inactive.
B. Active Transport Media (VTM) must be extracted, while Inactive Transport Media (ITM) should not be extracted because it uses a lysis buffer, a DNA isolation method.
C. Transfer to PCR plate format where cDNA is synthesized and detected by RT PCR
