Instruction for Use VTM<\/h2>\n

  1. Open the swab sachet that will be used to collect the specimen.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Use a swab to collect a specimen from the nose or throat according to the type of swab used.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Insert the swab into the tube containing the VTM fluid and then break the swab.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Tighten the tube cap and shake it 5 times. Then add the patient ID.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Put the specimen sample into the identity safety bag.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. The sample is put into the tube and stored at a temperature (2\u00b0C \u2013 8\u00b0C) \/ Cool Box.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A. The collection of specimens and the deposition of potential SARS-CoV-2 virus particles can be carried out Active or Inactive.<\/span><\/div>\n
    B. Active Transport Media (VTM) must be extracted, while Inactive Transport Media (ITM) should not be extracted because it uses a lysis buffer, a DNA isolation method.<\/span><\/div>\n
    C. Transfer to PCR plate format where cDNA is synthesized and detected by RT PCR.<\/span><\/div>\n
